Board of Directors
As a son of a banker, I have always known banks are at the heart of a community. Banks and bankers actively lending and helping loan customers make sound decisions, who are also involved in community affairs, contribute significantly to community vitality. Conversely, communities that don’t have banks and bankers who are concerned with making good loans and helping their communities improve don’t do as well. I am proud of Iowa State Savings Bank’s participation in supporting the wellbeing of our area. I am committed as a bank director and officer to continuing this tradition.
Karl Knock, Chairman
Having a strong financial, medical and educational system creates the backbone for any successful community. It is rewarding to work toward keeping this tradition of excellence a top priority through my association with ISSB.
Dr. Chuck Hoyt
With over 40 years of experience, I have seen many changes in the banking world – but one thing has not changed. ISSB is a locally owned bank, committed to serving the needs of present and future clients in our community.
Lee McNichols
As a CPA in public practice, I know how important it is for our clients to have a good working relationship with their bank. Based on my experience, a community bank knows its customers better, and will do its best to meet their needs at all times — not just when everything is going well. I consider it a privilege to serve on the Board of ISSB because it is a community bank that is dedicated to meeting the needs of its customers.
Robert W. Snodgrass, CPA
At ISSB we work every day to provide our customers with quality products, friendly service, and sound advice. We work hard to gain our customers’ loyalty, and are proud to have been serving the Creston area for over 125 years. ISSB gives back to the communities it serves with time, talent and financial support, and that’s important to me.
Jan Knock
In my 30 plus years of service, this bank’s management staff has had their fingerprints on new schools, new housing developments, new hospitals and hospital services, and new industry, as well as promoting growth in existing industry, agriculture and other business ventures. The bank has made financial commitments and gifts over the years to make this area a better place to live, grow and prosper. When a family life cycle enters the maturity stage, we have the expertise in our Trust Department to help manage and protect a lifetime of earned assets, and we strive to do the very best we can to ensure that people’s golden years are truly golden. This is my work and I love my job.
David R. Driskell
I grew up in Creston and worked as an intern with ISSB prior to graduating from the University of Northern Iowa. I had employment opportunities with larger organizations in the financial sector, but I chose ISSB because of the bank’s commitment to community and staff. During my career with ISSB, the bank has expanded into several new communities, and the banking industry has undergone numerous transformations. Despite these changes, ISSB remains steadfast in its commitment to improving communities through outstanding banking service and staff development. I am proud to be a community banker, but I am especially proud of being a Director for Iowa State Savings Bank.
Adam Snodgrass
I grew up on a farm in Ringgold County, Iowa and continue with my own small farming operation today. Certainly, I understand the compassion of the American farmer and the love of the outdoors. Along with that compassion, I bring my 16 years of experience as an agricultural/commercial lender managing an ever-increasing loan portfolio. My compassion and experience is enhanced by an educational background that allows me to assist farmers and business professionals in analyzing their management options. At Iowa State Savings Bank, we strongly believe in helping customers manage risk and opportunity.
